From my description: “Enlightened. Action. Kiho. A dragon monk and phoenix shugenja sit across from one another, mediating in a sacred grove.”  This was another really fun one for me to work on.  I prefer to work on the more “calm” cards in L5R, so I very much enjoyed working on both the Phoenix Shugenja and (of course) the Dragon Monk (mmmmmmm…tattooed bald guys….)

From my description: “Follower. Enlightened.   A lone man floats in the air meditating while a raging inferno surrounds him.” Yes, I realize this says “man”.  I had a wonderful reference of a serene looking woman, so I went with it, w/ my AD approval.  The fire was a challenge, but in a good way.  I have never painted a fire this massive before, so it was fun to work on something like this.

From my description: “Dragon Tattoed Monk 1. Personality. Dragon. Monk. Tattooed. Water. Tai-chi smoothness of action. Elegant. Undistrubed. Stands on a single rock on a still pond. Should look like a coiled tiger and a calm Buddhist at the same time.”

Let’s see….tattoos? Check.  Bald guy?  Check.  Thoroughly enjoyable project?  Check!  This right here is a prime example of how the more I like an assignment, the better it will come out.

From my description: VTES Art Notes“A Salubri (vampire with a third eye) walking past a dozing security guard.
Salubri: The members of this Clan come from a wide variety of gender, race and age, although the Preachers and the Purifiers seem to prefer people from the Asian continent and the Middle-East.
Once the chosen Kine has been Embraced, however, they begin to develop the Clan’s third eye. While the eye is not always noticeable (when it is closed, only an eyeslit, which appears to be a small scar, can be seen), the third eye is extremely prominent when in use”.
