I’m in my last week of working on paintings for L5R and then I’ll be working on getting my Kickstarter patron packages in the mail!  Last week I received the proof for the calendar and was really pleased with how it came out.  Also, because of the generosity of my KS patrons I was able to order vinyl stickers of ALL of the Demons as well as temporary tattoos of Sin Blossom, Frostbite, Corpsey Puff, Satana, Magma Blaze and Inky Poo.  The stickers are already in hand, now I’m just waiting on the calendars and tattoos.

For those of you in the OH area, I have two shows coming up in the next few weeks.  On Saturday May 26th, I’ll be attending the Toledo Kotei and May 31-June 3 I’ll be attending Origins in Columbus OH.

First, this morning my Kickstarter project surpassed my first overflow goal, so now I’ll be making both a My Little Demon Calendar AND vinyl Demon stickers!!

Second, I received the phone call I was so hoping I would get.  Space opened up at Dragon*Con so I am now going AND I’m going to get all of the space that I applied for!

Last, but not least, the Harley Quinn Leper Belle figurine that I created for Make-A-Wish is now being auctioned on eBay.  Starting bid of 99 cents and the auction will go for 10 days.  100% of the selling price goes to MAW!!

This 8.5″ x 11″ coloring book has a glossy card stock cover and 40 interior coloring pages!  Several of which, *I* haven’t even colored yet!

**Due to images of dismemberment, disembowlment, a Demon named Porny and general naughtiness, I would NOT recommend this Coloring Book for kids under 10 (unless the kid and parents share my twisted sense of humor).**

If you would like one of the coloring books with a sketch, please specify your favorite type of Demon: Regular, Unicorn, Winged, Squidy, Baby or Boy.  If none of the above are selected, I’ll just draw what makes me happy!

The good news is that as of  Saturday evening, my Kickstarter goal has been met and any and all pledges will now be put towards having vinyl stickers made!

The bad news is that, while I passed the Dragon*Con Jury, my scores weren’t high enough for me to get a Bazaar table.  So, for now I’m waiting list.  Financially, it doesn’t make sense for me to go to DC if I don’t have the table, so I’ll just have to keep my fingers crossed that enough people drop out so that I can get their table.

I’m busy, busy as usual right now.  I’m currently working on three new paintings for L5R, as well as a few Leper Belle repaints/sculpts.  One of which will be my item for a special Make-A-Wish Auction!

For those of you Demon lovers out there.  My new Series 2 40-page coloring book is currently at the printers.  I’ll be selling them for the first time at Pittsburgh Comic Con, April 20-21.

The calendars are going to cost a lot more to produce, so I’ve started a Kickstarter Project to help raise funds!

I tried to offer rewards at many different levels, so if you would consider pledging, I would greatly appreciate it!

I’m in the process of having my brand spanking *NEW* Series 2 My Little Demon Coloring Books (40 pages!!) made!  They are at the printers right NOW!!

I’m also busy busy right now with CCG work!  I’m working on 3 new paintings for L5R that will be tentatively be released in Dec. and one piece for the new VEKN VTES  expansion.

Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie,  and dismembered Apple Jack were done in Prismacolor markers, colored pencils, and ink on Arches HP watercolor paper.  The background was done in oils and everything was put together in Photoshop.

This image shows Twilight Sparkle losing her lunch after witnessing the horror of having her friend dismembered.  Pinkie Pie, for once, is stunned silent.

All of the images from the new coloring book cover were initially inspired by the dice bag that I created for the Gen Con Charity Auction in Aug. 2010.  A month or so before,  I had my first glimpse of  the new G4 molded hair My Little Ponys that had been premiered at Toy Fair.   As a G1/G3 girl, I HATED how they looked (especially Celestia, I still hate her). They did not look like ponies to me, more like a mouse/deer hybrid. Corpsey eating Apple Jack was my way of saying what I thought of these new “things”.  When the brushable haired ones came out, with much reluctance, I purchased Fluttershy because I liked her colors. They eventually grew on me and I now collect each and every new character that comes out. I very much like the new cartoon, but I’m not bat-shit crazy in love with it like most people are. To me, it’s a cartoon with ponies that I happen to find amusing. That’s it. I’m also not one of the people that had a huge connection with Apple Jack back in the day, so I really don’t care that they brought her back.   Plus her voice annoys the hell out of me, so I’ll happily have Corpsey chewing on her.
