This lovely lady is the third in my Seasonal Faerie Series. All of the others (Yule and Mabon) have been in Prismacolor Markers & Colored pencils on hemp paper. Before I was even done drawing her, she was “screaming” at me to paint her. This will be my first painting in 5 years that I’ve worked on just for myself…and I’m really excited to get started on it! I did screw up a little though. I did the Yule Faerie (vertical) first, then the Mabon (horizontal), then this one (vertical). I wanted to have two images be vertical and two horizontal so that they could aesthetically go together. Well damn it all…Yule and Ostara are right next to each other. I may end up redoing the Mabon Faerie in a vertical orientation so that all of the Faeries are cohesive. Plus, I feel like I rushed the Mabon Faerie anyway.
